Role description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Project Management team, leading the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects and programmes across the London & South East region.

Working closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, you'll take ownership of projects valued up to £30m, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded project professional with a strong track record in infrastructure delivery, ideally within the Highways & Aviation sectors.

You’ll play a key role in delivering projects that improve vital infrastructure across the London & South East, working alongside talented professionals in a collaborative environment that supports career development, professional accreditation and long-term progression.

Role accountabilities

  • Leading the delivery of infrastructure projects and programmes of varying complexity, with project values up to £30m.
  • Developing and implementing project delivery strategies, governance structures and delivery plans.
  • Managing and mentoring Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, building high-performing teams.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, building trusted relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing project performance across scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective project controls to drive successful delivery.
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Providing strategic advice to clients and senior stakeholders on project delivery challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Driving continuous improvement through the application of industry best practice and lessons learned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ or equivalent).
  • Chartered status, or working towards chartership, is desirable.
  • Previous experience in Rail, Highways or Aviation industries
  • NEC accreditation or significant NEC contract experience.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized infrastructure projects and programmes.
  • Knowledge of project delivery processes within regulated infrastructure environments.
  • Experience working with National Highways frameworks and systems would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with tools such as CEMAR, Primavera P6 and Risk Hive.
