As a Senior Facilities Management Consultant within our Asset Optimisation practice, you will help shape sustainable environments where people live, work and thrive by turning property from a cost into a strategic enabler. As a facilities management SME, you’ll provide facilities management expertise to public and private sector clients, lead FM strategic advisory and life‑cycle modelling workstreams, support PFI handbacks and digital transformation initiatives, and play a key role in delivering portfolio and asset strategies across high‑profile programmes.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver consultancy across a broad client base — Central Government departments, local authorities, Defence, education and health; SPVs, lenders/funders, service providers and contractors; and private sector organisations including financial institutions, conglomerates, housing, automotive, pharmaceuticals and infrastructure.
- Lead and manage Asset Optimisation assignments covering PFI advisory (including handback), property asset management and portfolio strategy, FM strategic advisory (life‑cycle and backlog modelling), TOTEX optimisation and whole‑life costing, benchmarking, value‑for‑money reviews, and compliance/audit work.
- Drive digital transformation, data‑driven decision‑making, CAFM implementation.
- Oversee strategic reviews and target operating model design.
- Support supply chain/procurement.
- Deliver data analytics, cost estimation and feasibility studies.
- Provide contract support (including PFIs).
- Build client relationships.
- Contribute to business development and thought leadership, and mentor junior colleagues.
- Uphold quality, governance and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in property‑focused consultancy or equivalent, with demonstrable Facilities Management experience.
- Proven track record with public sector clients (Health, Education, Local Authorities) and exposure to private sector engagements.
- Degree‑qualified property professional or full membership of IWFM, RICS or another relevant professional body.
- Experience contributing to delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and supporting senior stakeholders.
