We are seeking a Project Manager with strong consultancy experience delivering projects for Local Government clients to join our Local Government team. You will manage service delivery and lead a range of housing development and regeneration projects across London and the South‑East. You will be responsible for managing project teams delivering regeneration, housing, mixed‑use, and new settlement schemes for local authority clients. Experience working within a consultancy environment—specifically for local authorities—is essential.
Our current portfolio includes several housing‑led mixed‑use regeneration projects ranging from 100 to 350 units and construction values of £40m to £385m.
Role accountabilities
- Manage high‑quality, profitable consultancy services to Local Government clients from inception through feasibility, design, planning, construction, completion, and operation.
- Create, execute, and manage project plans, including risk, change, and programme management.
- Assemble and lead multi‑disciplinary design and consultancy teams, including Arcadis colleagues, sub‑consultants, and client‑appointed consultants.
- Act as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent (JCT contracts), or Project Manager (NEC contracts).
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant professional qualification.
- Essential consultancy experience delivering projects for Local Government clients.
- Experience managing housing, regeneration, or mixed‑use projects in London from inception to completion.
- Knowledge of project management and employer’s agent services in design and construction.
- Experience with public sector procurement and contract negotiation.
- Experience working with London local authorities or registered providers.
- Skilled in managing multi‑disciplinary teams and third‑party contractors.
