At the heart of this role is We Are Nature's mission and the living ecosystems of Pousada Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba (Brazil). We Are Nature exists to steward places where hospitality becomes a true relationship with nature, culture, and human connection. For more than 25 years, Pousada Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba have welcomed guests from around the world who are not seeking standardized luxury, but meaningful experiences rooted in community, care, and presence. Our properties are truly unique, world‑class expressions of nature and culture — preserved lands and discreet hideaways in a troubled world, offering a lived experience of nature's abundance.

These locations are deeply transformative. They embody an idyllic, authentic, and timeless Brazil, far beyond passing marketing trends. At a moment when Brazilian culture and sensibility are gaining increasing international resonance — with Brazil named Destination of the Year 2026 by Travel + Leisure — Pousada Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba are ready to expand their light. Picinguaba is a fishing village and a discreet coastal refuge on the preserved shores of the Costa Verde between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo where forest, sea, and community are interconnected. Fazenda Catuçaba is a historic countryside estate, surrounded by pristine nature, art, architecture, organic food, animals, and ecologically advanced practices. Both places host families, retreats, and groups seeking depth, beauty, and reconnection. Together, they form a singular hospitality ecosystem: intimate, values‑driven, and internationally relevant.

As We Are Nature enters a new phase of growth, our focus is not expansion at any cost, but intelligent, relationship‑led sales development. Growth, for us, means deepening the quality of our guests, partnerships, and long‑term relationships — while ensuring strong, sustainable financial performance.

The Sales Director is a senior, high‑trust position for someone who drives profitability with emotional intelligence and strategic clarity with warmth and integrity. The role is not transactional; it is about building and activating meaningful networks and translating the soul of these places into increased bookings and brand awareness, owning the customer journey and product delivery end to end. This includes individual stays, group bookings, retreats, and curated experiences across both properties. This is a performance‑led, commission‑based role for a candidate confident in generating results, comfortable with autonomy, and motivated by long‑term impact rather than short‑term wins.

At its core, the role ensures that the right people find their way to Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba — and that the business grows with rhythm, consistency, and accountability. Beyond hospitality and group sales, the role may gradually extend to select long‑term opportunities, such as recurring retreats with aligned organizations. Over time, there may also be scope to contribute to the careful exploration of real‑estate‑related initiatives.

This role is for you if…

  • You are aligned with our values and ready to move beyond traditional sales into meaningful, long‑term work.
  • You build meaningful relationships naturally, speak comfortably about nature, transformation, and wellness, and balance warmth with a results‑driven mindset.
  • You enjoy performance, accountability, and meeting and exceeding sales goals.

This role is NOT for you if…

  • You rely on aggressive sales tactics or need micromanagement.
  • You are uncomfortable with money, pricing, and value conversations.
  • You are looking for a fixed salary or a short‑term, transactional role.

  • Sales Leadership & Revenue Stewardship
  • Define, present, and continuously refine a clear sales strategy with aligned targets and priorities.

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, converting opportunities into long‑term, high‑quality relationships.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to consistently meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets in previous roles.
  • Deliver consistent performance against defined revenue goals, with the ability to generate early traction and sustained momentum.
  • Operate comfortably within a performance‑led, commission‑based compensation model, with clear accountability for results.
  • Relationship Building & Partnerships
    • Act as an ambassador of Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba, representing the soul, values, and uniqueness of both places.
    • Cultivate meaningful relationships with guests, group leaders, retreat facilitators, partners, and strategic networks in Brazil and internationally.
    • Activate and expand a relevant personal and professional network aligned with our audience and values.
    • Develop long‑term partnerships with individuals and organizations in hospitality, wellness, culture, regeneration, and lifestyle.
    • Operate with ease across cultures and languages, bringing experience in international or cross‑cultural contexts.
    • Prioritize continuity and trust over transactional wins.
  • Strategy, Structure & Execution
    • Define and continuously refine commercial priorities, identifying high‑leverage opportunities for growth.

    • Bring structure where needed and help evolve systems, processes, and rhythms that support sustainable growth.
  • Leadership & Way of Working
    • Operate with a high level of autonomy, accountability, and integrity.
    • Communicate clearly and consistently with internal teams and partners.
    • Hold yourself and others to a high standard while preserving the human, relational quality of the work.

    • Relationships deepen and repeat over time.
    • The right people find their way to Pousada Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba.
    • The sales function becomes clearer and more effective.

    90‑Day Trial & Early Momentum

During the first 90 days, the focus is on confirming mutual alignment — in values, rhythm, expectations, and results. This period allows both sides to assess how the role is inhabited in practice, how collaboration unfolds, and whether the pace and way of working feel right. At the end of this phase, we take a clear and honest moment to decide how we move forward together and shape the next chapter of the role.

First 30 Days — Alignment, Traction & Proof of Capability

The first 30 days are focused on rapid immersion and early results. During this period, the Sales Director is expected to:

    • Fully onboard into the vision, values, positioning, and commercial realities of Pousada Picinguaba and Fazenda Catuçaba.
    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the target audience, revenue streams, and commercial priorities.
    • Take ownership of the existing pipeline and begin activating their own network.
    • Lead initial commercial conversations with confidence, clarity, and alignment.
    • Establish a clear sales rhythm, reporting structure, and pipeline visibility.

At the end of this initial 30‑day period, there will be a shared checkpoint to confirm alignment, assess early momentum, and naturally refine the strategy based on real experience and results.

    First 60 Days — Ownership & Acceleration

By day 60, the Sales Director is expected to be operating with full ownership and autonomy. This includes:

    • Independently driving the sales strategy end to end.
    • Converting active opportunities into confirmed bookings or contracts.
    • Demonstrating consistency in pipeline generation and follow‑up.
    • Refining positioning, pricing conversations, and commercial approach based on real feedback.
    • Collaborating fluidly with founders and internal teams, reducing the need for oversight.
    • Meeting targets defined together.

First 90 Days — Confirmation of Fit & Continuation

By the end of the 90‑day period, the role should feel fully inhabited. At this stage, the Sales Director is expected to:

    • Operate as a trusted commercial leader and ambassador of both properties.
    • Consistently generate qualified leads and conversions.
    • Show disciplined execution, reliable reporting, and strategic clarity.
    • Demonstrate alignment with the culture, rhythm, and long‑term vision of We Are Nature.
    • Maintain a clear and consistent reporting rhythm, sharing results, insights, and accountability on a weekly basis.

    Outcome of the trial period

At the conclusion of 90 days, both parties will assess:

    • Commercial performance and traction.
    • Quality of relationships built.
    • Working rhythm and trust.
    • Long‑term potential.

This evaluation will determine continuation, role evolution, or a conscious decision to part ways.
