Fit Model – Clothing, Holiday, Swimwear & Lingerie

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and confident Fit Model to support our product development teams across clothing, holiday, swimwear and lingerie.

The role is focused on helping our teams assess how garments fit, feel and move on a real body. You do not need to be a professional model or a qualified garment technologist. What is most important is that your measurements and proportions consistently reflect our target customer and that you are comfortable giving honest feedback during fittings.

You will work closely with our experienced Technical and Product teams, who will lead the fitting sessions, interpret your feedback and provide the technical fit comments and direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend regular garment fitting sessions across clothing, holiday, swimwear and lingerie.
  • Try on sample garments and provide honest feedback on how they feel and fit.
  • Communicate any areas that feel tight, loose, uncomfortable or restrictive.
  • Comment on comfort, movement and overall feel of the garment.
  • Carry out simple movement tests where appropriate, such as sitting, walking, bending and raising your arms.
  • Provide feedback on areas such as garment length, waistband comfort, straps, cups, leg openings, armholes and general ease.
  • Work consistently with the same measurements and provide a reliable fit reference for the product teams.
  • Attend follow-up fittings as garments are amended and developed.
  • Be comfortable trying a range of products, including swimwear and lingerie, in a professional and respectful fitting environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality around new and unreleased products.
  • Build a positive working relationship with Designers, Product Developers and Technical teams.

What We're Looking For

  • A body shape and set of measurements that closely match our target customer/fit specification.
  • Reliable and consistent availability for fitting sessions.
  • Comfortable trying on a variety of garments, including swimwear and lingerie.
  • Confident communicating how a garment feels on the body.
  • Honest and constructive when providing feedback.
  • Able to follow simple instructions from the technical team during fittings.
  • Comfortable moving naturally in garments to help assess fit and comfort.
  • Professional, punctual and respectful.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with the wider product team.

Experience

Previous fit modelling or professional modelling experience is not required.

We are particularly interested in people who are comfortable in front of a small product development team and can provide clear, practical feedback about how garments feel and fit.

Our experienced Technologists will lead the fitting process and interpret and direct technical fit comments, so you do not need prior knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting or technical terminology.

What You'll Be Supporting

The role will cover a broad range of product categories, including:

  • Clothing – tops, dresses, knitwear, trousers, denim, tailoring and other apparel.
  • Holiday – holiday clothing and destination-led products.
  • Swimwear – bikinis, swimsuits, beachwear and cover-ups.
  • Lingerie – bras, briefs, nightwear and related products.

What Makes a Great Fit Model?

A great fit model is someone who is consistent, reliable and comfortable giving honest feedback. You don't need to know why a garment isn't fitting correctly β€” that's where our Technical team comes in. We need you to be able to tell us what you can feel and how the garment behaves on your body, allowing our Technologists to use that information to make the right technical decisions.

Fittings will be conducted in a professional and inclusive environment with appropriate privacy and consideration, particularly when fitting swimwear and lingerie.

The Fit Model will work alongside experienced Technologists and Product teams, with clear guidance throughout each fitting. All team members have been trained and given up-to-date information on the company’s practices and policies regarding safeguarding.

Payment

This is a freelance opportunity. Rates of pay will be discussed upon application and will be dependent on relevant experience and suitability for the role.
