Poundstretcher is on the hunt for an innovative Graphic / Packaging / Digital Designer to join our dynamic marketing and design team to help bring our products to life! We’re more than just a discount retail chain – we’re on an exciting journey to refresh and reimagine how our customers see us. As a key player in our marketing and design team, you’ll have a central role in reshaping our brand’s look across social media, packaging and in-store displays and POS. From creating standout packaging designs, engaging email marketing campaigns to producing engaging posts for our social channels, you’ll be at the forefront of driving our brand’s impact!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build Brand Identities: Craft unique, memorable brand identities and guidelines for our in-house brands that stand out in a crowded market.
  • Design with Impact: Create trend-driven, eye-catching packaging and product designs that make our shelves irresistible.
  • Create Social Media & Email Marketing Content: Design visually engaging posts for our social media channels and promotional email material that showcase our products and captures our brand’s personality.
  • Bring Ideas to Life: Pitch design concepts and mock-ups, get sign-off, and then bring the full range to life.
  • Support Product Launches: Collaborate on visuals and marketing materials, from posters and leaflets to social media content, that support our product launches.
  • Get Creative with Merchandising: Develop visual merchandising tools like CDUs and in-store displays that captivate customers and drive footfall.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with departments like QA and Buying to bring cohesive designs to fruition.
  • Photography & Animation: Snap photos for packaging and bring designs to life with animations (Adobe After Effects / Premiere Pro / Adobe Express a plus).
  • Champion Brand Awareness: Drive brand excitement across all our platforms, especially by creating fresh, eye-catching content for our social media channels and email marketing campaigns.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • You have a creative flare and an eye for detail.
  • You are at ease working on a wide range of project material ranging from social media campaigns, email marketing requirements through to traditional printed promotional material such as leaflets and posters.
  • Packaging & Product Design Mastery: You’ve got experience designing for print and know the ins and outs of print production.
  • Adobe Suite Proficiency: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – these are your playground, and experience with After Effects / Premiere Pro is a big plus!
  • Trend-Driven Style: A sharp eye for style and current trends to keep our brand relevant and enticing.
  • Adaptability: You handle feedback well, make quick adjustments, and keep an open mind.
  • Strong Communication & Organisation: Collaborating with teams, managing files, and catching every detail – you keep everything in order.
  • Experimentation & Passion: You’re always ready to try new ideas, learn new skills, and bring fresh energy to our team.
  • You Embrace the use of AI: You are practiced at using AI as a collaborative tool to enhance efficiency and creativity within the design process.
