We are looking for a Stock Management Team Leader to join our dynamic Distribution Centre team in Wigan. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for maximising the performance of the stock management operation by overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly activities. You will provide effective leadership, motivation, and development for a team of 10-12 colleagues, ensuring accurate stock control and minimising stock loss across the site.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly stock management activities across a 24/7 operation.
- Provide support and resolve issues during night shift operations when required.
- Oversee and manage PI counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Lead and support the Retail Support Team, ensuring timely and effective delivery of operational priorities.
- Manage the layout of the warehouse to optimise space utilisation and improve efficiency.
- Review and condense footpaths, identifying improved pick routes to increase productivity.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for team members to achieve operational goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with key departments, including Distribution, Transport, Retail, HR, and Finance.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and compliance standards across all operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment, ideally within a large-scale operation is preferred but not essential.
- Strong management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive and hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work flexibly within a 24/7 operational environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
