Are you a hands-on leader passionate about people, process, and performance? Poundland is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager to join our high-performing Distribution Centre team in Harlow. In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire a team of warehouse colleagues, ensuring stock is received and dispatched efficiently and safely.
You\’ll be at the heart of the operation, working shoulder-to-shoulder with your team to drive productivity, accuracy, and a culture of continuous improvement. Shift Pattern: Red Shift Week One – Wednesday to Saturday Week Two – Thursday to Saturday Shift Times: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

Responsibilities:
- Lead from the Front: Manage and support a team of warehouse colleagues by working alongside them, coaching and motivating them to deliver their best.
- Health & Safety First: Role model safe working behaviours and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Drive Performance: Deliver all operational KPIs through effective planning, clear communication, and continuous improvement.
- Customer Focused: Ensure store orders are accurate, delivered on time, and in perfect condition.
- Develop Your Team: Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support succession planning.
- Keep It Compliant: Ensure all colleagues follow policies, standard operating procedures, and legal requirements.
- Own Your Area: Maintain excellent housekeeping, ensure equipment is well-maintained, and manage cost-effective operations.
- Support the Business: Collaborate with transport, retail, HR, training, and finance teams to deliver joined-up solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven Leadership Experience: Previous experience managing a warehouse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with distribution operations, systems (e.g. Vitesse, JDA Dispatcher, Dimensions), good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages, and up to date knowledge of health & safety legislation.
- Effective Communication: Clear and constructive communication with colleagues at all levels.
- Problem Solver: Resilient and solutions-focused with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Organisation & Drive: Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Qualifications: IOSH/NEBOSH or similar H&S certifications are advantageous.
