About the role…
We are currently recruiting for a Merchandising Admin Assistant to join our Clothing Merchandising team, based in Watford. The role will work on a hybrid basis, with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
The Merchandising Admin Assistant will provide administrative and coordination support to the Clothing Merchandising team, to maximize the effective management of stock at store and option level, ensuring the allocation of stock to the right place at the right time, and driving sales through improved availability.

Your Impact and Responsibilities…
As Merchandising Admin Assistant, you will:
- Provide accurate sales reports and analysis to support the merchandising team with strategy decisions on stock, stores, grading and range planning
- Seek feedback from stores to support / investigate current performance and feedback to team
- Collate accurate sales history reports to generate size mixes and support merchandising and buying decisions by reflecting in buy ratios
- Collate accurate sales history reports to gain an understanding of best and worst sellers to support buying and merchandising teams with range planning decisions
- Update and maintain accurate delivery schedule
- Communicates efficiently with relevant departments and suppliers to ensure critical path and delivery dates are maintained and ensuring any issues are escalated
- With guidance from Assistant Merchandiser, propose and action trading decisions arising from critical path meetings – cancellations/cost price reduction/re-phasing deliveries
- Load allocations in JDA allocation system in line with agreed plan
- Ensure that the proposed store selection for each item supports the departmental sales and markdown plan and amend where necessary
- Attend a weekly allocation and trade meeting with the allocations/merchandising teams
- Respond to store queries and take action where appropriate
- With assistance from the Assistant Merchandiser manage stock builds for promotional/markdown activity and new store openings in JDA
- Collate accurate trade reports ahead of trade meetings to support Merchandising and Buying team
Skills and Knowledge…
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Merchandising Admin Assistant in a Clothing Retail environment. Applications from someone with a relevant degree in Fashion or Merchandising and looking for their first role in Merchandising may be considered.
- Strong analytical experience, numerical and great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong Excel skills
