Want to work with our new Volvo fleet at one of the biggest Distribution Centres? We’re looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers for our DC based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Successful applicants will receive a competitive salary + benefits.

Poundland is the biggest single price discount retailer in Europe, providing our customers with amazing value since 1990! We have 4 distribution centres, over 900 stores, operate across 4 countries, and serve 7 million customers weekly. We employ nearly 20,000 people and are seeking dedicated drivers to join our team.

Our DCs in the UK include two in the West Midlands, one in Harlow, and a new one in Wigan opened in June 2016, servicing our store network with our products.

About You

  • Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence holder
  • Max 6 points on licence, no drink driving endorsements
  • Adaptable to change and fast-paced environments
  • Driver CPC Card with at least two years before expiry

Shift Pattern at Springvale Distribution Centre

We are recruiting for shifts from Friday to Tuesday with start times at 0400hrs, 0600hrs, or 1800hrs.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, defect reporting, delivery and collection tasks, and ensuring compliance with tachograph legislation.

Additional duties:

  • Delivering post to stores
  • Collecting pallets, cages, and stock from stores and suppliers
  • Assisting with offloading stock
  • Completing driver trip sheets daily
