Were looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Transport Team Manager to join our Wigan Distribution Centre.
In this key role, youll support the Transport Team Manager in co-ordinating daily transport operations and people processes that keep our fast-paced supply chain running smoothly.

Your Impact and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Transport Team Manager, youll play a vital role in ensuring our transport function operates effectively, safely, and efficiently. You will:
Support the Transport Team Manager with planning tasks across daily transport activity.
Manage and monitor driver dispatch in line with the Transport Daily Plan.
Conduct driver debriefs, ensuring accurate feedback and reporting.
Analyse driver hours and ensure accurate journey time recording.
Complete the Driver Delivery Schedule daily, recording journey hours, duty hours, fuel usage, and trunk information.
Manage people processes including return-to-work interviews and workplace investigations, in line with company procedures.
Provide reliable cover for the Transport Team Manager during periods of absence, including annual leave.
Skills and Knowledge

Proven experience working within a transport or logistics setting.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
