Merchandising Admin Assistant - Clothing Retail in Watford

About The Role

Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Merchandising Admin Assistant to support our Merchandising team for our Pep&Co clothing brand. Based in Watford, the role will work on a hybrid basis, with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Merchandising Admin Assistant will provide administrative and coordination support to the Clothing Merchandising team to maximize sales and profit opportunities through providing accurate analysis to support trading decisions as well as monitoring intake from PO raising to arrival, highlighting any changes or issues to the merchandising team.

As Merchandising Admin Assistant, you will:

• Provide accurate sales reports and analysis to support the merchandising team with strategic decisions including sizing, attribute & best and worst information.
• Ensure all Items & POs are raised accurately and in line with the clothing critical path and sent to suppliers.
• Ensure that purchase orders are ready to ship and leave in line with critical path.
• Attend weekly allocation and trade meetings with wider team.
• Review “Never Out of Stock” Lines to ensure correct stock levels are set to maximise sales.
• Collate accurate trade reports ahead of trade meeting to support wider team whilst understand current trading performance.
• Build strong relationships between departments through clear and relevant communication with regular trade updates and sales performance.

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Merchandising Admin Assistant, Supply Chain or Allocations role in a retail environment. Applications from someone with a relevant degree in Fashion or Merchandising and looking for their first role in Merchandising may be considered.
• Understanding of merchandising function and how MAA role impacts wider business.
• Previous experience in a Clothing Retail environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong analytical mindset, numerical and great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
