Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as Talent Acquisition Manager, based at our Walsall office working in a hybrid pattern of 3 days onsite, for a fixed term contract of 12 months, covering maternity leave starting in September. This is a great opportunity for an experienced TA Leader to not only lead our brilliant TA Partners in continuing to bring in great talent, but also establish, build and lead our approach to employer branding.
Having gone through a period of change in our TA delivery, this role will heavily focus on our next phase which is how we show up in the market as Poundland & Dealz. It's a great project to start and lead, so having had experience in embedding an employer brand before is essential. You'll also be a hands-on recruiter in your own right, looking after senior hires across our Customer Support Centre, Retail and Distribution.
This role also leads our Apprenticeship offering, and after having relaunched our qualifications this year we'll want to build on that momentum. You will also:
- Be accountable for our third party relationships, from our ATS to learning providers.
- Ensure we're looking ahead, working with our People Partners to keep on top of succession and that we're targeting the right talent for the future.
- Lead, coach and develop the TA team, continuing to build an approach of autonomy and curiosity.
- Manage the budget and see where we can bring in supportive technologies or services to enhance our offering.
- Continue to embed our new processes and approaches.
- Build interest and a skills focused approach to apprenticeship enrolment.
Our ATS is eploy, so having used this platform before would be an advantage but not essential. Having led a team previously is a requirement of this role, along with having managed an end-to-end TA function from vacancy request through to onboarding into the payroll system, and therefore in-house experience is key. As a retailer, we move at pace, so working quickly but with an organised and commercially focused approach is needed.
Rewards and Benefits:
- 10% employee discount card with increased discount events over the year.
- Celebrate your birthday with an extra day off.
- Holidays: 33 days a year including bank holidays.
- Family private medical cover.
- Annual bonus scheme, with the opportunity to earn up to 25% of your base salary.
- Car allowance of £600 per month.
- Free parking onsite.
- Pension scheme with up to 5% employer matched contributions.
