We are currently recruiting for a Junior Merchandiser to join our General Merchandise Merchandising team. The role will be based from our Customer Support in Walsall and offers the opportunity for hybrid working after training. The Junior Merchandiser will support a Senior Merchandiser and Merchandiser to build a General Merchandise offer in our stores that delivers value through planning, process, and budgetary control.

Responsibilities:

  • Merchandise one of the departments within the category from range build to implementation.
  • Oversee the management of the product range, ensuring stock availability at all times.
  • Forecast daily sales against KPIs.
  • Analyse historical and current sales information, recommending and implementing actions.
  • Analyse weekly stock sales and intake (WSSI) for own department and explore additional promotions as necessary.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal stock flow.
  • Work with stock allocation team to manage and maintain store availability.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Junior Merchandiser or Assistant Merchandiser within a General Merchandise or Clothing retail environment.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset and makes decisions based on data, insight, and experience.
  • Ability to review processes and actions to drive performance and continuous improvement.
