Assistant Transport Team Manager – Night Shift
We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Assistant Transport Team Manager to join our Night Team at the Harlow Distribution Centre, working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern from 6:00pm to 6:00am.
Salary: Up to £29,500 + Benefits

Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Team Manager with planning tasks across daily transport activity.
- Manage and monitor driver dispatch in line with the Transport Daily Plan.
- Conduct driver debriefs, ensuring accurate feedback and reporting.
- Analyse driver hours and ensure accurate journey time recording.
- Complete the Driver Delivery Schedule daily, recording journey hours, duty hours, fuel usage, and trunk information.
- Manage people processes including return‑to‑work interviews and workplace investigations, in line with company procedures.
- Provide reliable cover for the Transport Team Manager during periods of absence, including annual leave.
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Motivated and proactive with a positive approach to problem‑solving.
- IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
