Cultura Connect is searching for an experienced and motivated Poultry Farm Manager to take charge of a well-maintained broiler unit in the North West of England. In this hands-on role, you will oversee all aspects of daily farm operations, ensuring the flock’s health and productivity while upholding the highest standards of biosecurity and animal welfare. Role Responsibilities

  • To oversee the daily farm operations, monitoring and managing the health and welfare of the flock and feeding routines to optimise production.
  • To conduct daily monitoring of the flock, including walking, weighing, and assessing bird health, while liaising with veterinarians and technical advisors as needed.
  • To ensure compliance with industry regulations, biosecurity protocols and animal welfare standards.
  • To liaise with hatcheries, feed suppliers, processors and other service providers to support a smooth operation.
  • To maintain accurate and detailed records of flock health and production metrics.

Skills you will need

  • Previous experience in poultry farming.
  • An NVQ 2 and/or 3 in poultry production.
  • A knowledge and understanding of poultry production.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • A strong eye for detail and cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative team player, able to work independently when required.
  • A willingness to put in extra hours when required to ensure the job is completed to the highest standards.
  • Adaptable and driven, physically fit able to meet the needs of a busy operation.
  • Experience with telehandler and tractors.
