Job role: To assist/ coordinate with day-to-day activities in the Technical and NPD areas.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Artworks checks and approval, including proofs received from packaging suppliers
- Ingredient and packaging specification checks and approval, ensuring they are compliant with BRCGS requirements
- Completion of customer forms / questionnaires
- Assisting with customer queries
- Assisting with admin work to ensure the Quality Management System is up to date, and all relevant forms are completed.
- Assist with cooking samples/ dispatching samples to customers
- Assist with factory trials
- Coordinate SL tests, ensuring the right number of samples are kept for those tests, sent out on the right date, and logging results
- Auditing of the factory, processes, products and records to verify the business is operating to the agreed standards & procedures. This includes GMP inspections as well as internal audits against BRCGS
- Ensure calibration of equipment (scales, pH meter, thermometers) is carried out as per schedule
- Co-ordinate the microbiological testing schedule, environmental swabbing and sampling
- Assist with investigation of customer complaints/ NCs (root cause analysis)
Requirements:
- Knowledge of HACCP / Food Safety is essential (further training can be provided by Potts)
- Previous experience in a technical or quality assurance role within the food industry
- Previous experience carrying out internal audits is desirable (training can be provided by Potts)
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office Pack (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary.
