Our new, luxury care home is nestled in the charming village of Church Lawton, near Alsager. We provide exceptional standards of Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care for 60 residents.

£13.71 per hour Contracted to 30 hours per week with the opportunity to increase as the home grows. Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract).

Role Overview

As Activities Lead, you will take responsibility for developing and delivering a high quality, engaging and person centred activities programme. The role plays a key part in enhancing wellbeing, promoting independence and creating a positive, stimulating environment. You will plan and lead both group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including those living with dementia. Building strong relationships will enable you to deliver meaningful and inclusive activities that encourage participation and social interaction. Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will ensure activities are well organised, consistent and aligned with individual care plans. You will also maintain accurate records and continuously review and improve the programme to ensure it remains engaging and effective. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

  • Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential
  • Proven experience leading and managing a small team of people
  • Dynamic individual, who has the ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident, creative and proactive approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia
