Company Description
We are currently looking for a General Theatre Technician to support our busy Entertainment Technical team on a full-time basis. Shifts will be further discussed at interview stage but will involve working days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. As part of the technical team the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery technical support within the entertainment venues.
Job Description
- The ability to operate a show as directed by the show director/Technical Manager.
- Operating Avolites lighting consoles.
- Knowledge of digital audio (DiGiCo /Allen & Heath audio console experience advantageous).
- Knowledge of QLab/Timecode operation.
- Operation of Hippo Media Server.
- The ability to work under pressure and to make quick thought through decisions.
- Being part of the Technical Team running Potters Theatre Company Evening Shows.
- Setting up equipment in different areas/locations on Resort for various events.
- Providing technical assistance on Resort during functions both day and night.
- Assisting in loading equipment to and from the theatre.
- Learning new skills in lighting, sound, vision and stage.
Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends and bank holidays).
Qualifications
Proven experience of working within a similar role, including:
- Experience of operating lighting, sound and video equipment.
- Organised, efficient and proactive.
- Good understanding of working safely within a Theatre/stage environment.
- Basic bench work skills including soldering (beneficial but not essential).
