Position: Chef de Partie
Location: Potters Resorts – Five Lakes, Colchester Road, Tolleshunt Knights, Maldon, CM9 8HX, Essex, UK
Type: Full-time
- As a Chef de Partie, you will support the Executive Head Chef and Senior Kitchen Management team with the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner for up to 400 guests per day, ensuring all dishes meet and exceed agreed standards and specifications
- Lead by example in delivering the Company’s Vision and Mission, customer service standards and Kitchen departmental procedures
- Maintain full compliance with all legal and company health, hygiene and safety requirements, demonstrating due diligence at all times
- Ensure all team members on your designated shift understand and follow health, hygiene, safety and fire procedures
- Complete all opening and closing procedures within the kitchen, and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Accurately complete all HACCP and cleaning records and report any defects to support the maintenance of a 5‑star EHO rating
- Maintain a strong knowledge of allergens and confidently manage special dietary requirements, including meeting with guests to discuss their needs
- Support and develop Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters through on‑the‑job coaching and by recommending relevant training opportunities
- Take a proactive approach to your own personal development, supporting future career growth within the Kitchen team
Salary: ÂŁ34,250 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week
Straight shifts between 6.00am and 9.00pm
Includes weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis

Qualifications
- Culinary experience and skills, with a minimum of 2 years at a similar level within a challenging and demanding kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and motivational qualities, with proven supervisory experience
- Standards driven, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to specific time frames
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent catering qualification
