Role Description

We are looking for a commercially minded and data-driven Business Development Executive to support the Business Development Manager in the day-to-day management and growth of key grocery, retail and international accounts within the health, beauty, and wellness sector.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, building relationships, and coordinating multiple projects while supporting commercial growth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing performance, supporting customer initiatives, coordinating product launches, and ensuring excellent service delivery across a portfolio of strategic accounts.

Working closely with internal teams across product development, supply chain, operations and finance, the Business Development Executive will help identify opportunities, provide valuable commercial insights and contribute to the successful execution of customer plans and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Support & Commercial Administration
  • Support the Business Development Manager in the day-to-day management of key retail and international accounts.
  • Assist in delivering account plans and customer growth initiatives.
  • Prepare quotations, costings and customer proposals.
  • Support the administration and coordination of customer activities and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information and account documentation.
  • Assist with tracking sales performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the preparation of customer presentations, reviews and business updates.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are delivered effectively.
  • Sales Analysis & Reporting
  • Produce regular sales, margin and performance reports.
  • Analyse customer, category and product performance to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor account performance against targets and highlight risks or opportunities to the Business Development Manager.
  • Support post-launch reviews and performance evaluations for new products.
  • Generate meaningful insights from customer and internal data to support decision-making.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting and sales planning activities.
  • Customer Relationship Support
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customer contacts and internal stakeholders.
  • Support customer meetings, presentations, conference calls and follow-up actions.
  • Act as a key day-to-day contact for customer queries and requests.
  • Help ensure a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate communication between customers and internal teams to ensure projects progress smoothly.
  • Product Development & Launch Support
  • Support the management of customer briefs and new product development projects.
  • Coordinate project timelines and actions with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in bringing new products to market, ensuring launch objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Track project progress and escalate potential risks where required.
  • Support product lifecycle management activities, including product changes and discontinuations.
  • Forecasting & Inventory Support
  • Review customer forecasts and sales trends.
  • Support inventory planning and stock management activities.
  • Work with supply chain and operational teams to help maximise product availability and service levels.
  • Assist in identifying potential stock risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support the management of obsolete stock and product discontinuation plans.

  • Previous experience in a Business Development Executive, Account Executive, Sales Support, Commercial Support or similar role.
  • Experience supporting retail, FMCG or consumer goods accounts.
  • Strong analytical and reporting experience with the ability to interpret sales and commercial data.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, operational and product teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting major grocery, retail or international accounts.
  • Experience within health, beauty, wellness, FMCG or consumer goods sectors.
  • Understanding of product development and new product launch processes.
  • Experience using retailer portals, reporting tools and sales data platforms.
