Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead all sales and commercial strategies for a key retail account, with a focus on driving revenue growth and maximising profit margins. Role Responsibilities

Commercial and Sales Management

  • Initiate and drive a strategic trading sales plan.
  • Identify and pursue new product opportunities.
  • PrepareProduct Costings & Quotations and negotiate prices with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage product commercially throughout its lifecycle.
  • Create sales budget and track adherence to it.
  • Produce post launch reviews.

Customer Management

  • Manage the key account interface with customer teams.
  • Understand customer processes and requirements of a vendor.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations including product rationales, product positioning, competitive gap analysis, and price architecture definition.
  • Prepare New Project Approval Forms and CPA for sign off.
  • Agree Initial CPA with customer to meet required launch dates.
  • Oversee that all launches and NPD projects are delivered on time against CPA and managed with relevant Customer teams.
  • Monitor and manage with the team any customer quality issues.

Order/ Stock Management

  • Prepare and monitor forecasting.
  • Monitor EPOS performance. Identify issues and develop/implement corrective action plans.
  • Understand and manage agreed stock holding levels.
  • Manage exit plans on discontinued lines.
  • Manage customer stocks and reporting on the Monthly Stock Report.
  • Oversee that stock is being produced in time to meet forecast or sales order.
  • Manage Customer shortages to resolve and expedite any issues.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven track record for driving and managing key retail accounts, ideally within the FMCG sector
  • Evidence of producing sales growth within key retail accounts
  • Evidence of successful relationship building within key retail accounts
  • Private Label background preferred
  • Management of multiple product types and categories within key retail accounts
