School Business Manager – Salary £52,000 – £62,000

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Full-time (52 weeks)

This pivotal role involves managing strategic operations across compliance, finance, HR, health and safety, IT, and administration, driving the organization's mission to support young people with special educational needs effectively. This role requires a candidate with prior experience in the education sector, particularly in school business management or a senior financial role within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to Trustees

• Oversee compliance, HR, health and safety, and facilities management

• Drive strategic planning and resource allocation

• Manage procurement, vendor relationships, and fundraising strategies

• Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and data protection

• Supervise administrative staff and contribute to school leadership

• Implement marketing strategies and oversee IT systems management

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant degree, preferably in accountancy, finance, or business management

• Proven experience in school business management or senior financial role in the education sector

• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and analysis
