BASIC PURPOSE: To provide comprehensive disposition, qualification, production support in all areas within diffusion. This includes supporting Lot Disposition, Recipe Creation and Testing, Preventative and Corrective Actions, Supporting New Product/Process Development.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):

  • Provide Technical manufacturing support across all areas within Diffusion.
  • Support Furnace Maintenance Activities.
  • Participation in teams to develop and implement action plans for continuous improvement of key indices, i.e. yield and re-work.
  • Supporting quartz ware and SiC ware management.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the key operational and process parameters.
  • Provide ongoing support and encouragement to manufacturing personnel to enable continuous improvement in skill levels and performance.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work. Strong team player but able to work independently with confidence. Highly self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills.

COMMUNICATIONS:

  • ORAL: Effective verbal communicator across engineering and cross‑functional teams.
  • WRITTEN: Strong written communication skills; Meticulous record keeping.

SCHEDULING AND PLANNING: Excellent organisational and planning skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Reliable and consistent timekeeper. Able to support manufacturing and activities across different shifts when required.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: 5 GCSEs including English, or equivalent.
  • TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS). Awareness of SPC charting requirements. Experience in semiconductors or similar manufacturing industries.
  • SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with non‑conformance management. Understanding of product inspection techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel. Experience with SPC InfinityQS (advantageous).
  • OTHER SKILLS: SAP (advantageous).

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Internal: Process and Test Engineers, Manufacturing Supervisors and Operators, Quality Engineers, Equipment Engineers.
  • External: Equipment and material suppliers, External service providers.
