Role Description

This is a full-time, London-based role leading social media, owned content, and community at Potentially. The Head of Social Media will own all social channels, lead the owned content strategy, and build our creator and community function from the ground up. The role sits at the heart of our marketing function. It works closely with growth and paid media to ensure alignment across content, creators, campaigns, and community, so that everything we put into the world pulls in the same direction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Owning channel strategy and execution across all social platforms
  • Leading the owned content calendar
  • Building the creator function from talent identification through to briefing, partnerships, and management
  • Building the community function across audience-led programmes, events, and engagement
  • Coordinating with growth and paid media on cross-channel storytelling
  • Managing external collaborators including freelancers, agencies, and creator talent

Qualifications:

  • Four plus years across social media, content, or community at an agency or startup
  • Hybrid background of in-house at an early-stage brand and time at a social agency is preferred
  • Tuned in with culture. Sharp instincts on what works and doesn't
  • Great taste in creative, with a portfolio of work to point to
  • Experimental in nature, always creating new feedback loops in your work
  • Strong multi-stakeholder coordinator, comfortable across product, growth, paid media, and creative
  • Equal artist and scientist. Creative judgement matched with fluency in metrics
  • Experience building or leading creator and community programmes
  • High agency, ambitious, and motivated by building something that matters
  • Comfortable in a public company environment with the tempo of an early-stage start-up
  • Bonus: you're obsessed with AI and building workflows to support your craft
