We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Expert who can take this Head of Marketing role and make a discernible difference to the team and to our client’s next phase of their brand marketing and campaign development. This is a high impact role for a high impact person. You will have solid experience in the FMCG sector and be capable of bringing your expertise to not just the UK marketplace but both the European and International markets too. You will lead a broad and capable in-house marketing function, responsible for brand, campaigns, content, trade and channel marketing across both B2B and B2C audiences. You’ll also manage team members across multiple locations, including remote reports, so experience with leading dispersed teams is essential. YOUR KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE: Develop and deliver the overall marketing strategy in line with business goals Lead, manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team across multiple sites Ensure all marketing activity complies with advertising and industry regulations (CAP, ASA, MHRA etc.) Oversee brand positioning, campaign planning, content creation and trade marketing Support product launches and market expansion in the UK and internationally Collaborate with Sales, Product and E-Commerce to ensure message alignment and impact Monitor performance, analyse results and optimise marketing ROI Manage relationships with external agencies and creative partners Contribute to broader commercial strategy and senior leadership discussion WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE: Senior-level marketing experience in a regulated FMCG industry Strong track record of managing and developing high-performing teams, including managing remotely Deep expertise in brand, campaign and content marketing Clear understanding of compliance in marketing communications Experience working across international markets is a strong advantage Collaborative and commercially astute, with excellent influencing skills Awareness of digital and e-commerce channels (without owning trading responsibility) Able to work from Darwen and occasionally travel to other UK or international locations ABOVE ALL YOU WILL EXCEL AT: Visibly and consistently being a role-model with professional principles, values and personal integrity able to build trust working collaboratively with other senior colleagues within the business Contributing to creating a culture of accountability, ensuring ownership for improvement and learning Collaboratively leading and enabling managers and leaders within the business to support others to be their best at work through communicating the meaning and purpose of work within your team/s Continuously building a strong understanding of the sector, the organisation’s business model, and where value is created and lost.
