There are 4 main parts to this role:

  • Procurement Management
    • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to acquire goods and services efficiently.

  • Supply Chain Oversight
    • Manage the end-to-end supply chain processes, including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and transport providers to maintain smooth operations and prevent delays or shortages.
    • Analyse demand forecasts and stock levels to optimise inventory and avoid disruptions.
  • Process Optimization and Leadership
    • Streamline and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery.
    • Lead a team of supply chain and procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
    • Ensure alignment with company policies, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Financial and Reporting Responsibilities
    • Oversee budget planning, track supply chain costs, and identify opportunities for savings.
    • Prepare reports and present insights on procurement, inventory, and distribution performance to senior management.

What will YOU bring to the role?

  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Analytical and strategic planning capabilities for assessing supply chain metrics and making informed decisions.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management, and procurement procedures.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CSCP are advantageous.

You will stand out from the crowd because:

  • You are driven to constantly achieve high levels of service coupled with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • You are highly motivated when working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise workloads during times of high demand.
  • You have excellent analytical skills and can analyse how data is coming in and how it will need to be organised.
  • You are a logical thinker looking at what data needs to be recorded and determine how to store it in such a way that it will be easily used in the future.

You will also:

  • Be outgoing, friendly, and approachable with the ability to remain professional at all times.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional, positive manner at all times both with suppliers on the phone and with colleagues and visitors within an office environment.
  • Be able to learn systems quickly, have an interest and knowledge of IT, and be confident in producing reports and manipulating data.
  • Be objective-driven with a key focus on the job at hand.
  • Be a team player and problem solver to solve data problems as they arise.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to contribute and progress within the role by going the extra mile.

The rewards:
