Role Description
This full-time Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist role is based in Lincoln with a hybrid working model, combining community visits with clinic based work from.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing adults and children with neurological conditions, planning and delivering individualised treatment programs, and supporting rehabilitation and functional independence in home and community settings.
The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with families and carers, and providing clear reports, documentation, and recommendations for equipment, adaptations, and ongoing support.
The Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist will also contribute to service development, maintain accurate clinical records, and participate in regular supervision and continuing professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Recognised Occupational Therapy degree (BSc/MSc or equivalent) and current HCPC registration, with post-qualification experience in neurology or neurorehabilitation.
- Experience in paediatrics is desirable, we will consider experienced adult OTs with a desire to develop their skills to work with children.
Additional support and training will be provided by our experienced paediatric team.
- Demonstrated skills in functional assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based neurorehabilitation interventions.
- Strong communication skills for working with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, including report writing and clinical documentation.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively, prioritise competing demands, and work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
- Commitment to person-centered practice, safeguarding, and continuous professional development, with a valid driving license and access to transport for community visits.
