An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Coordinator to join a high-profile residential developer during a period of significant growth and transformation. Following a major merger and a renewed focus on expansion, the company has set ambitious targets for their housebuilding operations. As part of this growth, the technical team is expanding to strengthen its capability in managing complex residential schemes consisting of primarily houses, as well as some low rise apartments.
The Role: Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Senior Technical Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and coordinating technical information across a range of developments, ensuring timely delivery and collaboration across internal departments and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the key liaison between technical, construction, commercial, and sales teams
- Coordinate design information from land acquisition through to project completion
- Oversee legal agreements including crossovers, sewer connections, and statutory approvals
- Respond to site queries, resolve design-related issues, and attend site progress meetings
- Monitor technical output and ensure alignment with budget expectations
- Prepare detailed technical specifications and support procurement and build stages
- Attend meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a Senior Technical Coordinator or similar role within residential construction (Experienced TCs welcome)
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and apartment construction
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Confident managing external consultants and multiple interfaces
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit and general IT proficiency
