Potensis Selection are working with a well-established residential developer based in Surrey who are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Coordinator to join their growing Technical team. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the technical design process across multiple residential projects, from pre-construction to completion. Working closely with internal development and construction teams, as well as external consultants, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate external consultants, making sure everyone knows what’s expected and that design information is delivered on time, on budget, and to the right standard.
- Stay on top of planning and approvals, including conditions, building regulations, NHBC sign-offs, and any legal agreements, so projects keep moving without delays.
- Develop, maintain, and report on the Design Programme, ensuring that all construction drawings and technical information align with planning approvals and project milestones.
- Keep an eye on technical budgets and consultant fees, working closely with the Commercial team to make sure costs are controlled.
- Be the go-to person for technical matters on site, attend meetings, coordinate teams, answer queries, and support the construction team with inspections and information as needed.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Have experience working in a technical or design role in residential development.
- Have a good understanding of building regulations, technical coordination, and design risk.
- Be confident leading meetings and bringing people together across different teams.
- Proactive, organised, and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing track.
