An exciting opportunity has opened up for a driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading mixed use developer for a number of new developments across London. This role offers autonomy, visibility, and the chance to make a real impact in a business with long-term growth potential.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee all commercial and cost control aspects of the development (which are mainly high, mixed use projects) from pre-construction through to final accounts. You’ll work closely with site teams, technical, and procurement departments to ensure budgets are maintained, risks are managed, and financial reporting is accurate and timely. This is an ideal step for a strong QS looking to take that next level of responsibility in a supportive but fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full commercial ownership of the development, managing budgets, valuations, cost forecasting, and reporting across the full lifecycle of the project.
- Manage and maintain contracts and relationships to ensure high-quality delivery and value for money, while keeping to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Produce monthly CVRs, monitor costs against programme, and provide accurate financial updates to the Commercial Manager and wider leadership team.
- Work closely with site management and technical teams to ensure commercial decisions align with buildability, quality standards, and site progress.
- Manage accounts from appointment through to final account, resolving any commercial or contractual issues and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
What We’re Looking For:
You’ll have a strong track record in complex projects—ideally with experience managing the commercial aspects of medium to large-scale schemes. You'll need excellent financial management skills, confidence in procurement, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
What’s On Offer:
A senior commercial role on a major project with long-term visibility and complexity. Autonomy within a well-supported team that encourages growth and internal promotion. Competitive salary, car allowance, and full benefits package. Remote working is available for this role, with the expectation that people can visit the London office as required.
