Potensis is pleased to partner with a leading housebuilder who are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of a high quality housing development. This role requires a strong leader who can drive program performance while maintaining exceptional build quality, ensuring homes are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to lead a site team and play a key role in delivering high-quality homes and an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Program Management
- Take ownership of the day-to-day management of the construction site
- Drive the build program to ensure homes are delivered in line with project timelines
- Coordinate site operations, labour, plant, and subcontractors to maintain productivity
- Work closely with senior management to review progress and address program risks
- Provide regular updates on progress, performance, and key milestones
- Quality Assurance
- Champion a “right first time” approach to construction quality
- Monitor build standards across all stages of construction
- Carry out regular inspections to ensure homes meet company and regulatory standards
- Identify and resolve defects promptly to ensure homes are completed to a defect-free standard
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Lead the implementation of site health and safety procedures
- Ensure full compliance with legislation, company policies, and industry best practice
- Conduct site inductions, safety inspections, and subcontractor reviews
- Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site
- Planning & Coordination
- Manage detailed site program and coordinate activities across trades
- Plan upcoming work stages and ensure materials and resources are available
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work collaboratively with the sales and customer teams to ensure homes are ready for handover
- Support customer visits and ensure high presentation standards across the site
- Contribute to delivering an excellent customer experience from build through to completion
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in residential construction who takes pride in delivering high-quality homes and meeting program targets. You will ideally have:
- Extensive site management experience within residential housebuilding
- A proven track record of delivering projects to program while maintaining build quality
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and subcontractor management ability
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, quality standards, and health & safety legislation
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 6 in Residential Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
- SMSTS
- CSCS – Management level
- First Aid
