Potensis are pleased to partner with a leading national residential developer seeking a Partnerships Manager to drive growth in its publicly funded housing portfolio. Based in Northampton, this strategic role focuses on building partnerships with housing associations and local authorities to deliver high-quality affordable housing across the UK.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to build strategic relationships and support the delivery of affordable housing projects. This is a front-end role suited to someone with a strong understanding of the construction industry and a desire to influence project pipelines from the earliest stages.
You will operate at both strategic and operational levels: identifying opportunities, structuring deals, negotiating terms and driving sites through to contract.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead a Land & Partnerships strategy aligned to long-term delivery targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Housing Associations, Registered Providers and Local Authorities
- Identify and secure land and development opportunities for affordable, mixed-tenure and regeneration schemes
- Negotiate land deals, options, joint ventures and development agreements
- Structure partnership-led housing schemes including s106, framework and direct delivery models
- Work closely with internal commercial, technical and construction teams to ensure sites are viable, deliverable and compliant
- Lead the bid and acquisition process from opportunity identification through to contract
- Maintain and manage a strong development pipeline
- Represent the business at industry events, partnership meetings and strategic forums
- Background in construction, ideally with experience in residential or social housing.
- Existing network of contacts across housing associations and local authority housing teams.
- Ability to engage with clients and partners to identify opportunities and support bid development.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
