We are working with a busy, growing Residential Developer who are looking to recruit a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to help manage a brand new, high value apartment led scheme in Bristol. Working with a well-established commercial team, this role offers autonomy, visibility, and the chance to make a real impact on a multi-phase project with long-term potential.
The Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in all aspects of the development, from pre-construction through to final accounts. You’ll work closely with site teams, technical, and procurement departments to ensure budgets are maintained, risks are managed, and financial reporting is accurate and timely. This is an ideal step for a strong QS looking to take that next level of responsibility in a supportive but fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help to procure subcontract packages, negotiate terms, and manage relationships to ensure high-quality delivery and value for money, while keeping to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Help produce monthly CVRs, monitor costs against programme, and provide accurate financial updates to the Commercial Manager and wider leadership team.
- Work closely with site management and technical teams to ensure commercial decisions align with buildability, quality standards, and site progress.
- Help to manage subcontractor accounts from appointment through to final account, resolving any commercial or contractual issues and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
