Potensis Selection is pleased to partner with an award winning Mixed Use Developer who are looking to expand their existing team and recruit an additional Architectural Technician

The role will provide technical and design support throughout the housebuilding process, working closely with Construction, Commercial, Sales and external design consultants to ensure information is accurate, compliant and issued in line with programme requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing house type information, coordinating technical submissions and supporting the delivery of high-quality working drawing packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical and design support to Construction, Commercial, Sales and wider Design teams.
- Develop, amend and maintain existing house types, producing new designs where required.
- Coordinate and manage Building Regulations submissions, ensuring applications are prepared accurately and progressed within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Building Regulations, SAP requirements and technical matters relevant to residential construction.
- Produce and coordinate sales and legal documentation, including conveyance plans, sales layouts, external finishes and associated information.
- Liaise with external architects, consultants, manufacturers and suppliers to obtain, review and incorporate relevant technical information into working drawing packages.
- Undertake site visits and inspections to review house types, identify technical issues and ensure designs are suitable for construction.
- Manage drawing revisions and ensure updated information is issued to relevant stakeholders in accordance with established procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of drawing production processes, standards and technical procedures.
- Develop, maintain and update standard construction details and technical information for use across residential developments.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical queries and support the smooth progression of projects from design through to construction.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous experience within a technical, architectural or design role, ideally within residential housebuilding or a related construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and relevant Building Regulations.
- Proficiency in Auto CAD is essential.
- Good understanding of technical drawing production and working drawing packages.
- Strong IT skills and confidence working with digital systems and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a methodical approach to reviewing and producing technical information.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with colleagues, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently, plan workload effectively and take ownership of assigned tasks.
