Potensis Selection is pleased to partner with an award winning Mixed Use Developer who are looking to expand their existing team and recruit an additional Design Manager. The business has developed an enviable reputation for consistently delivering high end, complex and design led projects across the capital for over 20 years. Due to an expansion of workload, they are now looking to attract and recruit a Design Manager to lead a complex, apartment led development from inception to completion.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical advice to the business and act as a focal point for all technical design related matters on the development.
  • Appoint and manage a range of external consultants, managing their performance to ensure that they deliver the agreed outcomes.
  • Drive innovative and cost effective solutions into the design.
  • Provide design solutions to the build team during the production process to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Management of design review meetings, progress & performance reporting, and design change control.
  • Provide guidance to the business on technical and design related issues as required.

Experience of delivering high value, complex mixed use or apartment led projects, gained from within a Residential/Mixed Use Developer or Main Contractor would be appropriate for the role. In addition, all candidates will need to be capable of forming effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders, and exhibit a calm, professional approach to problem solving.
