Job Description
About the Role:
Our client, a leading national housebuilder, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager Manager to a set of high value conversion projects (residential) which will involve working on listed buildings. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring high-quality construction, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from pre-start to handover.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain strong health and safety compliance across all construction activities.
- Drive site productivity and efficiency while mitigating potential risks.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including technical, commercial, and customer service teams.
- Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead and develop site management teams to ensure optimal performance.
- Providing full support to the Regional Construction Director
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior construction role within the housebuilding sector with a focus on working on conversations + refurbishments.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to drive projects forward while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
