Hours: 8:30 AM – 6 PM (Early Friday Finish)

At Potensis, we’re looking for an experienced recruitment professional who thrives on winning new business and building lasting client relationships. This is a client-facing, business development-focused role where you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, winning new clients, understanding hiring needs, and acting as the strategic partner throughout the recruitment process. Once roles are secured, you’ll hand them over to our specialist delivery consultants to source and manage candidates, allowing you to focus on growing your client portfolio. You’ll then step back in during the final stages to manage negotiations, offers and secure successful placements. What You'll Do

  • Develop new business opportunities within the UK Property & Construction market.
  • Build long‑term relationships with hiring managers, directors and key decision‑makers.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand hiring strategies and recruitment challenges.
  • Win and negotiate exclusive and retained recruitment opportunities.
  • Partner closely with delivery consultants, providing detailed role briefings and ensuring a seamless recruitment process.
  • Remain the primary client contact throughout the recruitment lifecycle, providing updates, managing expectations and maintaining exceptional service levels.
  • Re‑engage during offer management, negotiations and placement completion to maximise successful outcomes.
  • Grow existing accounts through strategic account management, cross‑selling and identifying further hiring opportunities.
  • Represent Potensis as a trusted recruitment partner and market expert.

  • Proven recruitment experience with a strong track record in business development.
  • Confident winning new clients and developing long‑term commercial relationships.
  • A consultative, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Commercially driven with a passion for generating revenue and growing accounts.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple client relationships.
  • Motivated by autonomy, career progression and uncapped earning potential.
