We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker. Parkside Lodge is a small residential service based in Bensham, close to Gateshead City Centre, providing specialised support to 10 adults with mental health needs.
What we’ll give you:
- £12.71 per hour.
- 40 hours per week, will involve working weekends and bank holidays.
- 2 week rolling rota.
- Parkside Lodge is in Bensham and offers great bus links to Gateshead City Centre.

What you’ll be doing:
- Providing personal care and emotional support.
- Supporting with 1 to 1 hours.
- Supporting activities within the service and also out in the community.
- Medication support.
- Cleaning and household duties.
- Shifts would include 8 am to 6 pm, 10 am to 8 pm and at weekends 8 am to 8 pm.
- You will also need to have the flexibility to cover annual leave or extra hours when needed.
Who you are:
- A background in Mental Health is preferred; however, all training will be provided.
- You will have a positive attitude and be highly motivated with the ability to encourage the people we support and promote their independence.
- Flexible with a can-do attitude and have a real passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
- You will be willing to take part in the chosen activities of the people we support.
