Overview
We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity at Potens for a Support Worker. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role. Must be a driver with a full manual license due to service needs. Here at Avondale Lodge in Redcar, we support residents who have a range of needs such as autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and behaviours that can challenge. Our aim is to assist them in their daily lives to develop new life skills, achieve their ambitions and goals, and for them to continue to be valued members of the community.
What you’ll be giving
- Salary: £13.00 per hour.
- Hours: 40 hours per week. Shifts will include earlies, days, long days, and evenings.
- Waking nights and sleep-ins when required. Will involve working weekends and bank holidays.

What you’ll be doing
- Full flexibility is needed, and you must be able to cover all of the following shifts as part of the rota: 7:30 am to 4 pm, 8 am to 9 pm, 9 am to 3 pm, and 4 pm to 9 pm.
- Will involve working weekends and bank holidays. You will also be available to cover waking nights and sleep-ins when required.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a safe and caring, supportive environment that meets the individual and group needs of the people who live with us.
- Support activities within the service and assist residents to access the community.
- Assist with personal care, domestic support, meal preparation, updating internal systems, and reviewing care plans, risk assessments, and monthly reports.
