Belgrave Terrace is a homely residential service in South Shields, South Tyneside for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This includes dementia, health-related issues and mental health.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in managing the care of the people that live with us, monitoring the quality and delivery of the service.
  • Leading by example, confidently motivating and developing the team to deliver a high-quality provision.
  • Promoting independence with the people we support with all aspects of personal care, cooking, cleaning, key working and general life skills.
  • Shift times 8 am to 6 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm. Some sleep ins will be required; this will involve working 6 pm to 10 pm then sleep in until 8 am. Weekend and bank holiday working is also required.

Who you are:

  • An existing Senior Support Worker or an experienced Support Worker looking to progress.
  • You have the confidence and ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • You will be adventurous, outgoing, and willing to participate in the chosen activities of the people we support.
  • Every day is different, so we are looking for someone who is filled with enthusiasm, motivation, and a positive outlook.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude.
  • A motivated and passionate individual that can make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
  • An NVQ level 2 and 3 is desirable.
