We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Bank Support Worker. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role. Here at Avondale Lodge in Redcar, we support residents who have a range of needs such as autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours. Our aim is to assist them in their daily lives to develop new life skills, achieve their ambitions and goals, and for them to continue to be valued members of the community.

What you’ll be doing:
- Will involve a variety of shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
- Please be aware that if successful, training will take place during the day, Monday to Friday.
- You will work as part of a team, ensuring a safe and caring, supportive environment is maintained, which meets the individual and group needs of the people that live with us.
- Supporting activities within the service and supporting to access the community.
- The role will involve assisting with personal care, domestic support, preparing meals, updating our internal systems, and reviewing care plans, risk assessments, and monthly reports.
Who you are:
- The role requires a motivated and creative individual.
- The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.
- Experience working in a social care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism is preferred, but not essential.
- Drivers preferred.
