Support Worker in Leyland

We are recruiting a support worker to join our service in Leyland.

The Barn, located in Leyland, provides support for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential setting.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing specialised residential care for adults aged 18- 85 who have learning difficulties with some behaviours perceived to be challenging.
• Support 1-1 and continue to promote positive well-being.
• Working to maintain a high level of support that’s required for the service needs.
• Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
• Maintain and develop their community links, as well as accessing community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
• This is within a residential service for up to 12 adults.

Who you are:

• Able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
• Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
• Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts that include early shifts, evenings, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
• Quick learner, hands-on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
