We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Support Worker. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role. At our specialist service in Perranporth, we support adults with learning disabilities and or autism who may exhibit behaviours that can challenge. Tarrant House is a Residential Care Home consisting of seven rooms within the main house, which have been tailored to suit each person’s individual personality and needs.

What we’ll give you:

  • £13.80 per hour.
  • 37.5 Hours per week.
  • Shifts will include earlies, lates and sleep-ins.
  • Weekend working is also required.
  • You will have every third weekend off (3 days off together).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing proactive, flexible, positive and caring support to adults living in our service.
  • Enabling and supporting people to learn new skills towards living more independently.
  • Assisting and providing individuals with support for their emotional and practical needs.
  • Working effectively as part of a team and with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Will be a part of developing and implementing person centred care plans.
  • Personal care.

Who you are:

  • Experience is not essential as full training and support will be given.
  • The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire and commitment to work in social care, supporting adults with varying needs.
  • A valid driving license is not essential, but due to the location and nature of the service, is preferred.
