We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Bank Support Worker! Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role. Apple Tree House is a residential, Ofsted Registered âGoodâ childrenâs service situated on the outskirts of Weymouth, Dorset. Here we support 4 children aged 8 to 18. Apple Tree House has been carefully adapted to provide specialist accommodation for children and young people with moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges.

What weâll give you:
- ÂŁ12.31 per hour, increasing to ÂŁ12.50 per hour after a successful probation period. ÂŁ13.10 per hour once you progress to stage 2. Generous sleep in allowance.

What youâll be doing:
- This a bank position so various shifts will be required.
- Our young people have a mix of interests and different levels of independence; you will be supporting with daily tasks to increase their confidence levels and everyday skills.
- You will support the children to have fun and engage in learning.
- You will be cooking, cleaning and supporting with everyday tasks, depending on the childâs ability.
- We make the most of being close to the seaside and local amenities. We enjoy days out together, shopping, visiting the cinema and take part in and encourage the childrenâs interests.
Who you are:
- The young people we support have said that they want someone âwith a great sense of humour, who will have fun, will be understanding, patient and who will enjoy spending time with usâ.
- You are enthusiastic, compassionate and love working with children.
- You are motivated, flexible and have a âcan doâ attitude.
- Previous experience working in a social care setting with children is preferred but not essential.
