We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Senior Support Worker. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role. Belgrave Terrace is a homely residential service in South Shields, South Tyneside for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This includes dementia, health related issues and mental health.
What we’ll give you:

What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in managing the care of the people that live with us, monitoring the quality and delivery of the service.
- Leading by example, confidently motivating and developing the team to deliver a high-quality provision.
- Promoting independence with the people we support with all aspects of personal care, cooking, cleaning, key working and general life skills.
- Shift times 8 am to 6 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm. Some sleep ins will be required; this will involve working 6 pm to 10 pm then sleep in until 8 am. Weekend and bank holiday working is also required.
Who you are:
- An existing Senior Support worker or an experienced Support Worker looking to progress.
- You have the confidence and ability to motivate and lead a team.
- You will be adventurous, outgoing, and willing to participate in the chosen activities of the people we support.
- Every day is different, so we are looking for someone who is filled with enthusiasm, motivation, and a positive outlook.
- Flexible with a can-do attitude.
- A motivated and passionate individual that can make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
- An NVQ level 2 and 3 is desirable.
