Here at Redwood House in Broadstone, Poole, we provide a supported living service for 6 adults aged 18 to 48 with learning disabilities, ASD, and other health needs.

What you’ll be doing
- You will support a team of staff members and will be completing inductions for new members of the team.
You will also support with training and development through mentoring and on-the-job supervisions.
- You will be contributing to and completing care plans, risk assessments, their review and implementation, to provide effective strategies to assist the people we support to achieve their identified outcomes.
- You will be part of an on-call system for the service.
- Promoting and supporting independent living skills.
- Encouraging choice and involvement.
- We take part in lots of exciting activities here at Redwood House, like visiting the beach, watching movies at the cinema and attending music festivals.
Every day is exciting and different!
- Every day is different — but the focus is always the same: building confidence, independence and real relationships.
- Supporting with a small amount of personal care.
- Shifts will take place between the hours of 8 am and 10 pm and will include a combination of days and evenings. Shifts may at times, start at 7am.
- Working every other weekend.
Who you are
- You will have a minimum of one year of experience as a Support Worker or you are an existing Senior Support Worker working in the social care sector, preferably supporting adults or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or similar needs.
- Caring with a patient approach.
- Reliable and committed.
- Positive with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Happy to take part in the chosen activities of the people we support.
- Team player.
- Drivers preferred but not essential.
