We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity available at Potens for a Support Worker. Kensington Hall, located in South Hetton, is a registered residential care home for up to 13 adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The home also has vast experience in supporting people with epilepsy and physical disabilities.

What we’ll give you:

  • £12.71 per hour.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • Shifts are 8 am to 8 pm – you may also be required to cover sleep ins (sleep in rate is £67.53 per night) and waking nights on occasion, these shifts would be 8 pm to 8 am.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing personal care.
  • Assisting the people we support in engaging in activities within the local community.
  • The support we give is focused on boosting morale, increasing levels of existing skills, and supporting the learning of new skills.
  • You will motivate the people we support to rebuild their confidence and assist them to see a bright future for themselves.

  • Somebody who is passionate about providing support and would like to make a real positive difference to the lives of the people who live with us.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
