We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Female senior support worker at our service in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

You must hold a valid, clean manual driving license!

What you'll be doing:

  • Support 1-1 and continue to promote positive well‐being.
  • Personal care will be required.
  • Working alongside the service manager & staff members to maintain a high level of support that's required for the service needs.
  • Be part of an on‐call system after probation.
  • Participate, and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
  • Maintain and develop their community links, as well as accessing community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
  • Some admin duties will need to be completed.
  • Working within a residential setting with 4 adults who may have Learning disabilities and or complex needs.

Who you are:

  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
  • Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
  • Experienced.
  • Have a level 3 NVQ or are willing to work towards one.
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Quick learner, hands‐on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
  • Willing to be flexible as shift rota can include days and nights, and be part of an on‐call system.
  • A driver is essential due to service requirements.
  • Females only due to service requirements.
