We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant team at Potarch Cafe. This position requires an individual who is passionate about hospitality and possesses strong communication skills.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff using the POS system.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables, menus, and service stations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner, striving for resolution to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth operations during peak times.
- Support bartending duties as needed, including preparing drinks and managing the bar area.
- Assist colleagues with dishes, stock replenishment and open/closing duties.
We are a small team and therefore the successful candidate will be willing and eager to assist in all areas of the Cafe, be it serving, running food, bartending and/or dishes. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous. Experience in catering services is a plus, as well as any barista and/or bartending experience. A proactive attitude towards helping colleagues and enhancing the overall guest experience is essential.
